Yn galw ar bob gweithiwr llawrydd Cymraeg neu o Gymru!
Ydych chi erioed wedi bod eisiau gwybod beth sy'n digwydd y tu ôl i'r llenni yn eich sefydliadau theatr? Os felly, da iawn. Rydyn ni’n meddwl y dylai pawb sy’n gweithio yn ein diwydiant ni gael mynediad at yr wybodaeth yma – i’r ystafelloedd yma, ar yr adegau pan fydd penderfyniadau’n cael eu gwneud.
“I had to almost pinch myself because this level of access isn’t usually given unless you are a member of staff”
Yn 2024, fe fyddwn ni’n agor ein drysau - a'n llyfrau - i chi. Ein cymuned lawrydd. Mae 'Llyfr Agored' yn bartneriaeth newydd rhwng Theatr Clwyd, Theatr y Sherman, Theatr y Torch, y Theatr Genedlaethol a Chelfyddydau Pontio Bangor.
“Being in every meeting I was able to see so much, and get an idea of where my interest lies within that – even areas I didn’t think I’d be interested in.”
Byddwn yn cynnig 15 diwrnod yr un o gysgodi gyda thâl llawn i ddeg o weithwyr theatr llawrydd a chyfle i weithio gyda’n Cyfarwyddwyr Gweithredol a’r Uwch Dimau Arwain. Ar gyfer pob cyfranogwr, bydd hyn yn digwydd yn Theatr Clwyd ac mewn un sefydliad partner arall.
“I was particularly taken aback by quite how much goes into [Executive Director] Liam’s diary! There weren’t many moments to take a breath, with people to meet and places to go.”
Chi fydd yn penderfynu pryd a sut bydd y 15 diwrnod yma’n cael eu cwblhau. Rydyn ni eisiau gweithio gyda’ch amserlen lawrydd heriol sy'n newid yn barhaus, nid gweithio yn ei herbyn.
Cyflog: £600 yr wythnos
Cynhaliaeth (os oes angen): £210 yr wythnos
Bydd yr holl gostau teithio ar gyfer siwrneiau cymudo nad ydynt yn rheolaidd yn cael eu had-dalu
Ar ddiwedd y prosiect, bydd cronfa gyffredinol o £5,000 ar gael i ariannu cynigion / prosiectau sydd wedi’u cynllunio gan y cyfranogwyr eu hunain.
Fel dewis arall, cyflwynwch fideo heb fod yn hirach na 5 munud o hyd yn cynnwys y pwyntiau ar y ffurflen gais. I wneud hyn, darparwch ddolen (e.e. google drive) i’ch fideo.

Open Book has been a truly transformative experience for myself as a freelancer. In my experience the arts in South Wales, Cardiff especially, tends to be quite rooted and there's a real disconnect I feel as an artist between South Wales and North. Open Book has given me a fantastic opportunity to forge genuine professional links with a theatre outside of my usual sphere of influence, and in fact one of the most interesting and ambitious theatres in the UK. The team at Theatr Clwyd were incredibly welcoming and not one moment of this exercise felt like tokenism but a genuine experiment in upskilling freelancers and developing better relationships with in-house teams. Not only that but the level of access and support has been astonishing throughout. I'm excited to see how my relationship with Clwyd and the Open Book team overall develops once my time has finished. This has been a bold, brilliant way of nurturing artists that should be modelled in venues throughout the world. Especially in a time when things are feeling more closed off and desperate for freelancers than ever. There is hope and it looks a lot like what Open Book provides.Jeremy Linell
