Wyn Mason
Wyn is originally from a film and TV background ; he worked as a freelance director for 15 years, making short films and documentary programmes for BBC, Channel 4 and S4C. In 2012 he undertook a year -long theatre director training course, jointly ran by Sherman Theatre, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru and Living Pictures.The course inspired him to write his first stage play, Rhith Gân / Song of Illusion, which went on to win the Drama Medal at the National Eisteddfod, 2015. He has recently established an independent theatre company, Os Nad Nawr, with playwright Branwen Davies. The company received Arts Council of Wales funding in 2019 to develop Wyn's second full-length play, Gwlad yr Asyn / Donkeyland. He is currently writing a new play, The Lady Speaks In Welsh, inspired by one of Shakespeare's characters.
