Casglu is a monthly space for dancers, movers and makers to get together to move, share and connect across North Wales. Casglu is a partnership between North Wales Dance Collective, Theatr Clwyd, Pontio and Coleg Cambria.
The first in a series of 12 monthly sessions will be held at Theatr Clwyd, Mold on Friday 30 September and will then alternate between Theatr Clwyd, Mold, Pontio, Bangor and Coleg Cambria, Wrexham.
These sessions are aimed at anyone with a professional dance or movement practice as well as students in full-time training.

Dance that Speaks with Uma O'Neill

Description -
This session will provide an introduction to Eukinetics, the fundamentals of expression, through somatic practice. We will combine Theory & Physical Experience to deepen awareness & knowledge. For those who have studied Eukinetics previously this session will be a welcome refresher, and, for those new to this approach, it will inspire new insight & questions and provide practical tools for application within your own practice and/or teaching.
About Uma -
Uma O’Neill was blessed with an early introduction to Laban Fundamentals which inspired her first decade of exploration and the continued development of her practice. Her breadth of study includes initial introductory courses with the Laban Guild, her MA in European Dance Theatre Practice at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and later with the Laban Guild’s international postgraduate course The Phoenix Project. Laban’s Eukinetics & Choreutics underpins Uma’s work across her breadth of roles including performance, choreography, teaching & facilitating
