A new Welsh language adaptation of the hit show! Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s award-winning comedic play Fleabag, which will be adapted into the Welsh language and performed across Wales. The production, based on the original, has been re-set in Liverpool and North Wales. It has been adapted by acclaimed Welsh writer Branwen Davies (Dirty Protest and Os Nad Nawr) and will be performed by Leah Gaffey (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sherman Theatre) and directed by Sara Lloyd (Nyrsys, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru). The production will tour around Wales, with venues and dates to be announced, before its final performance at Theatr Clwyd.

The classical season stretches across Theatr Clwyd and to its sister venue, William Aston Hall, Wrexham, including performances from Tabea Debus (recorder), Toby Carr (lute) and Sam Stadlen (Gamba) (7 Jun), Sinfonia Cymru and violinist Max Baillie (25 June) and accordionist Samuele Telari (27 Aug). Pianist Llyr Williams (29 Oct) and Skampa Quartet (19 Nov) will play at William Aston Hall as part of the classical season.
As ever Theatr Clwyd’s Comedy Club (17 Jul/ 23 Jul/ 10 Sep/ 8 Oct) showcase some of the finest comedians on the circuit. We are also launching Clwb Comedi (26 June/17 Sept) this season, a Welsh language version of the event. William Aston Hall is also hosting its first comedy club, William Aston Comedy Club (26 Nov) starring Live At The Apollo star Nick Helm.
