Fiona Kingwill
Fiona specialises in new writing and form breaking work. Fiona’s immersive theatre work includes Doctor Who: Time Fracture with The BBC and Immersive Everywhere as associate and resident director. She collaborated with Immersive Everywhere and Guild of Misrule as assistant director on The Great Gatsby and as resident director after its West End transfer in 2019. Fiona works as a performance director for companies such as AVR and Immersive Octopus, delivering their bespoke immersive events.
Fiona’s work as a freelance director has seen her work with, amongst others; Theatre503, VAULT Festival and The Arcola. Other assistant director roles include the UK tour of Antigone with Actors of Dionysus, Twelfth Night for York Shakespeare Project and Heading to Higher Ground for Company of Angels, both at York Theatre Royal.
Fiona is the co-founder and Co-Artistic Director of Minerva Productions Ltd, a company that seeks to share untold stories of the female identifying and non-binary experience. With Minerva, Fiona has directed at Theatre Upstairs (Dublin), The Bunker, VAULT Festival, The King's Head Theatre, The Ovalhouse, The Hope and the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival.
Fiona is a graduate of the University of York with First Class Honours in Writing, Directing & Performance.
