What instruments do you play?
French horn, trumpet
How did you get into music?
I began playing the recorder in school at the age of 6 and loved it! I had a very inspiring teacher in junior school who I am still in touch with.
What has been your favourite musical experience?
Playing in the schools proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London was an incredible experience. I also play in classical concerts for babies and toddlers. Their reactions to hearing live music, sometimes for the first time, always uplifts me.
What do you like to do outside of teaching?
I used to play the trumpet in a ska band, we supported UB40! I sing in a Welsh language choir to try and improve my singing and Welsh skills.
What is a fun fact about you?
I love playing and watching netball, climbing mountains, circuit training - I can't sit still for long!

I have lived in Flintshire since I was 23.
