Electric and Classical Guitar
How did you get into music?
I am the youngest of 5. My older siblings always had music playing, and I remember constantly saying: "Show me how to play Pingu on the guitar!"
What has been your favourite musical experience?
I've been lucky enough to perform my own music all over the country. Highlights include recording a live session at Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio One, and flying to Austin, Texas for SXSW festival.
What do you like to do outside of teaching?
I love to play, write and perform music, and do so whenever I get the opportunity. I'm also often spotted out running!
What is a fun fact about you?
I was invited to play classical guitar for a special VIP, who turned out to be the Prime Minister.
Do you have any ties to Flintshire?
Apart from a three year stint at university, I've always lived in Flintshire. In school I was taught by Mr Matthews, who is now my colleague!
