Youth Advisory Board
Theatr Clwyd has recruited a brand-new Youth Advisory Board. The Board aims to help shape the future of Theatr Clwyd putting young voices at the heart of everything they do. The Youth Advisory Board is a group of young people aged 11-25 years old who will meet 4 times a year to discuss and dream together about what the future looks like for Theatr Clwyd. There will be a Chair and Deputy Chair for this board who will also attend Theatr Clwyd’s full Board of Trustees meetings.

The trustees at Theatr Clwyd and I are deeply excited about the Youth Advisory Board becoming part of our governance and decision-making structure. Liam and Kate as CEO’s will attend all Youth Board meetings, which we have confirmed can be an official subcommittee of the Board of Trustees. We will also welcome whoever is appointed as Chair of the Advisory Board to be an official trustee of Theatr Clwyd, and the Vice-Chair will attend as an observer. Both will have mentors from the Board of Trustees, and all this will allow us to put young people at the heart of our decision making. We can’t wait to get going!Helen Watson, Chair of Theatr Clwyd Trust
